What personal data we collect and why we collect it?

We will only capture a subscriber’s first name and email address. This capture process is managed by a Mailchimp authorised interface using encryption keys. Other third-party providers including Google use cookies.

Google Adsense

Our website uses the functions of Google AdSense. For this purpose, we cooperate with Google Ireland Ltd, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; both together "Google", whereby Google Ireland Ltd is responsible for the processing of personal data.

How does Google AdSense work?

This feature allows Google to serve personalized advertisements on our website. For the purpose of personalized advertising, Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to collect the following information:

  • The user's reaction to the ad (clicks, mouse movements, impression)

  • How many times the ad has already been shown to the user. Thus, the ad will not be displayed several times in the absence of a response.

Google analyzes the collected data and your IP address. Google uses the data primarily to display advertisements as effectively as possible. If you have a Google account, the data will be merged with your Google account.

Why are we allowed to use Google AdSense?

This merging takes place on the basis of your consent, which you can give or revoke at Google. In the case of data collection processes that are not merged in your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on our legitimate interest in acquiring new customers via advertising and to use our website profitably.

How can you prevent Google AdSense from collecting your data?

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings in your browser accordingly. In addition, you can object to cross-device personalized ads by deactivating personalized advertising in your Google account under the following link (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/). Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google's privacy policy at https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Who we share your data with?

The Coloring Inn will NOT sell or provide any third party with its subscribers’ details. If you follow a link from this site, we have no access to or control of your data.

How long we retain your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained for 90 days past the last follow-up comments.

Subscriber details are held for 90 days past the date they unsubscribe.
