Basic Description

Lolliz ® Gel Pens are gel pens with a hexagonal barrel shape. This set contains classic, glitter, metallic, neon, pastel and swirl gel pens They are sold in a maximum of 70 count packets. Please note this review only covers gel pens included in the 48 pack.

Pros

  • Hexagonal barrel
  • Smooth flow of ink with no skipping during coloring
  • Good range of colors and ink types
  • Color indicator on lid is a reliable indicator of the gel ink color
  • Vibrant color
  • Able to color in tight, detailed spaces
  • Can often get “Two Packs for the Price of One” deals on Amazon

Cons

  • No comfort grips
  • No color id printed on barrel
  • No white gel pen in the 48 pack
  • Pens can be “scratchy” when first used but ink flow frees up once pen has been used
  • Ink color can stop flowing while coloring and I found the pen needed to be rolled between my palms to warm the ink and start the ink flowing again
  • Wet ink on application requires drying time and can easily smear until dry
  • Some bleed through and shadowing on basic photocopy paper
  • Thinner papers can buckle due to the wetness of the ink

Price Range

  • $$ – typically AUD $5.01 – $20.00 / US $3.76 – $15.00 / £2.61 – £10.00 / €3.31 – €13.25

Comments / Recommendations

  • A good value pack of gel pens with a good color and ink type range
  • These pens do not require any pressure to get the best out of them so if you have any fine motor, hand or arm problems these may be a suitable option
